“Decolonial Feminist Thought and Praxis” was chosen as the inaugural theme of the Sawaba Journal to explore decolonisation as both an intellectual and lived practice. The issue creates space to reclaim marginalised knowledge, histories, and experiences while moving beyond critique towards dismantling, reconstructing, and imagining otherwise. Rooted in African epistemologies, feminist and anti-colonial thought, and lived realities, it approaches decolonisation as an ongoing, creative practice of world-making and liberation.
